ServSafe training class & exam meets CFPM requirements

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) requires a CFPM (Certified Food Protection Manager) at each school site or one CFPM per 10 satellite feeding sites. ServSafe®, a National Restaurant Association training program that teaches, and confirms knowledge of, food safety protocols, meets the requirements for MDH's Food Protection Manager Certification.

CKC Good Food General Manger Laurie Yohn, SNS, DTR, a certified ServSafe Instructor and Proctor, will lead a ServSafe class for CKC employees and clients' food service staffs

Who Should Attend

  1. Food service staff who require Food Protection Manager Certification.
  2. Certified Food Protection Managers who have not taken a class in three years (certification expires after three years). A four-hour recertification class is acceptable for renewal of the state certificate.
  3. ServSafe-certified food service staff who wish to keep your ServSafe certificate current. ServSafe requires a class and exam every five years.
  4. CKC Good Food employees.

Cost

Certification: $115 (ncludes 4-hour class training, ServSafe® Manager 7th edition book, and exam)
Renewal: $55 (includes 4-hour training only; no book, no exam for renewal)
Recertification exam: $55 (includes 4-hour class training and exam; no book)

Class reservation and payment must be postmarked by Monday, November 18, 2019.

Upon receipt of your registration and payment for full certification, CKC Good Food will order you a textbook (English and Spanish textbooks are available). It takes approximately 3 weeks to receive textbooks from ServSafe. Upon receiving your book, we encourage you to study it and take the chapter quizzes. Those who do so have demonstrated a higher rate of passing the exam. The instructor will not be covering every chapter in the book. Please do NOT remove the test sheet or use your test sheet.
