Our leadership team identified these values as CKC's cornerstones after much discussion and deliberation. They pair well with our new mission statement that we unveiled earlier this year. But a mission statement and core values need to be lived. We need to be reminded of them every day to keep us focused on them and to build more and more passion for what we do every day - in both the food we prepare and the service we provide. Our managers keep the values on their desk as a reminder. Steve Schnaser, Director of Administration (aka schools' "first-call man"), suggested the t-shirt idea to help our kitchen staffs and field employees keep focused on the values. We all loved the idea!
"We are so grateful for the daily opportunity to partner and build close relationships with our schools and to feed so many scholars," said Nancy Close, Founder and CEO. "We know if we sincerely apply our core values each day, we can encourage all of our staff to be part of our movement and to continue to grow closer as a team, which will flow out to our school partners and all we feed."
Special thanks to our t-shirt models: (L to R): Jolanda Rojas, Jovanni Rojas Arroyo and Maribel Balderrama!
