Team Spotlight

Every weekday, Francis Yang starts his day at Prairie Farms Dairy, where he picks up CKC Good Food’s milk truck that was stocked at the dairy overnight. After the day’s deliveries, he returns to Prairie Farm to drop the truck for restocking and goes home – or to his second job.Spotlight-5-IG Francis photo.png

Francis manages all aspects of the milk program for 20-25 client partners. While he serves some of our larger client sites, he also delivers to smaller sites that would have limited options for milk if CKC Good Food did not have its own milk delivery truck.

His responsibilities include taking milk orders from the client partners, placing orders with Prairie Farms, planning the deliveries each day, delivering the milk and returning the empty milk crates back to Prairie Farms.

Francis created daily delivery routes by geography, with larger sites getting deliveries twice a week. Monday is the busiest day, when he delivers to larger schools. Wednesday has the most stops as he delivers to several smaller sites.

He enjoys interacting with clients, the independence of his role and the feeling of fulfillment that comes from helping nourish kids.

Francis started with CKC Good Food in 2013, left the company for a couple years and returned in February 2024, with the milk program on the horizon.

Before working for CKC Good Food, Francis lived in Michigan, where he was a kitchen manager for a Thai restaurant.

Outside of work, Francis spends his time with his wife of 10 years, Kham, and their “awesome” kids, Madeline, Desmond, McKinley and Darren. The kids love playing sports, so you’ll often find Francis and Kham cheering them on.
