We are saddened to share that Administrative Coordinator Extraordinaire Barbara Reinhold will soon be retiring.
Barb was originally hired to be the Executive Assistant to CEO Nancy Close but quickly became a go-to for most everyone in the corporate office as well as our kitchens.
In her poetic and creative way, Barb shared these thoughts on her pending departure:
“From dotting my I’s and crossing my T’s. To proofreading a process over and over again. From a substitution of six emails and the dreaded weather warnings. Simple holiday cards to singing cards. Seeing little ones grow, and that special one who got married. Others leaving us too soon – but who gave us all a ton of wisdom. I may forget the bits and pieces of this job; however, you meet coworkers and clients along the way who stay in your heart for a while longer.”
During her more than 7 years with CKC Good Food, she has pulled many butts out of the fire, rescued countless pizza Fridays in jeopardy, brainstormed and facilitated creative bonding experiences for our team, kept our commissary team fully caffeinated, and took command of organizing our paper and electronic files. She was often client partners’ first call for help when a delivery was delayed or incomplete.
“Barb might have to get a new phone number to truly retire!” Nancy said. “Barb has provided invaluable assistance to me, both professionally and personally, as well as our entire team day after day. We will be discovering so many things she has done unbeknownst to us to keep things running smoothly for many, many months to come. Thank you, Barb, for all you have done for the company and for me, and our friendship, which will continue long after you retire.”
Prior to joining the company in 2018, Barb worked in various roles for a hospitality corporation for 22 years, and in industries from accounting to computer training and recruiting.
While we’re currently interviewing for someone to fill Barb’s position, no one can truly take her place.
