2018-2019 New Menu Entrees

The 2018-2019 school year will be kicking off soon! CKC Good Food will be rolling out new lunch entrees, a fresh approach to breakfast, and helpful training tools and procedures to keep your school food service program running smoothly.

We will be offering several choices in menu rotations starting in the fall. We encourage all our client schools to use multiple rotations throughout the year to avoid menu fatigue and hold students' interest.

When developing new recipes, Executive Chef / Founder / CEO Nancy Close always strives to create recipes that will be both filling and become student favorites. We think she has succeeded with the introductions coming to this fall's menus, including: 

 

 

Southwest Cheddar Chicken: This lush entrée features chicken topped with a southwest cheese sauce, a sprinkling of black beans, fresh diced tomato, and pinch of fresh chopped cilantro. It may be served as a chicken fillet over rice or noodles or as fajita or diced chicken in a rice bowl, noodle bowl or as nachos.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Queso Meatball Nachos: This fun twist on nachos uses tender cheesy meatballs as the protein served over crisp corn chips and topped with a fresh tomato and cilantro garnish.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Curry Chicken Satay (non-peanut): Kids today are becoming more adventurous in trying foods. This delicious recipe mimics a favorite appetizer at many Asian restaurants but combines Greek yogurt and delicate seasonings with peanut-free sun butter to accommodate peanut-free schools. Garnished with chopped red pepper and cilantro, this dish is sure to be a hit.
